Drugs and Alcohol Testing > Specific Types of Tests
DOT:  Requires testing for the following substances:
  • Amphetamine/Methamphetamine
  • Cocaine
  • Morphine
  • PCP
  • Marijuana/THC Urine collections for DOT testing are split samples.

Urine collections for DOT testing are split samples.

Non-DOT:  Requirements are subject to specific company protocol. Urine collections for Non-DOT testing are  single samples.

Alcohol:  All alcohol testing is conducted with a DOT approved EBT (Evidential Breath Tester) with testing being administered by a certified BAT (Breath Alcohol Technician). This procedure follows all DOT requirements and meets the standars of CFR 49-Part 40.

An alcohol testing proceedure will include an initial screen. If screen result is less than .02% it is considered to be a negative test. Any measurement above .02% requires a confirmation test. All test results are forwarded to company DER (designated employee representative) or program manager.

Rapid Kits:  Contrary to popular belief, there is a Rapid Kit test that is DOT approved for the detection of alcohol. The alcohol saliva swab kit is safe, affordable, accurate and simple. We also have Non-DOT urine rapid kits for the detection of Amphetamine/Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Morphine, PCP and Marijuana/THC. At request additional substances (up to 12) may be detected.

Hair Follicle:  The ever increasingly popular hair follicle test is here! Standard 90-day detection of substance use. This test can detect a greater period of time at your request, however, this must be discussed prior to testing. Accuracy is maximized.
